Rules

Teams must have 4 consistent players on their roster throughout the season.

Game Mode: Start with :40 of play—shots are worth 2 points, except the final :10 when worth 3. Scoring 40+ earns :15 Bonus Time, with 2-point shots in the first :05 and 3-point shots in the final :10.

Each player can play up to 8 games per week on their Elite machine using six balls.

Top 4 scores per player count toward the team’s weekly total.

Players must toggle “League Play” on their profile at app.popashot.net before playing to ensure scores are tracked.

One video of a full league game, per player, must be emailed weekly for score verification.

The Finals are set. Hold on to your butts.

DIVISION 2

Deep Swish Pizza vs. Tennessee Fireballers.

On paper, this one leans heavy toward Deep Swish. Captain Caputo and crew have looked like a team already measuring Division 1 curtains for next season.

But last week, the Fireballers hung 1824. That’s 124 points above their previous season high. Any magic left in the lamp? They'll need it but....that's why we keep score.

Title

DIVISION 1

Motor City Sharpshooters vs. Skyline Swishers.

The Sharpshooters took down Skyline the final week of the regular season. But Skyline put up more points in the opening playoff round. Sharpshooters are favored by 73. Seventy three. In this league that's a coin flip.

Can the high scoring Isham and Setzke top the high score list? Or does the Swisher's balanced four headed attack grind them down?  We'll see how big the baskets look.

End of Season Awards

As the season winds down, it’s time to recognize a few people who elevated the whole thing.

We’re still counting ballots for MVP and All-League. But a few awards are already locked.

Captain of the Year

NATETATE — Rim Reapers

First season.
Started 0–2.
Team totals under 1500.

That’s when most expansion teams start blaming equipment. Instead, the Reapers went to work. Four straight wins. Every player improved. Including the fourth man, N8THEGR8, who boosted his average by 24% over the season. That doesn’t happen by accident. Captain, we salute you.

4th Player of the Year

AJBUTLER002 — Motor City Sharpshooters

A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. In his second season, AJ made sure there wasn’t one for the Sharpshooters. While others fluctuated, his scores climbed steadily upward. No dramatic spikes. No disappearing acts. Just steady, dependable production week after week. Championship teams aren’t built on highlight reels. They’re built on stability. When the top guns have an off night, somebody has to hold the floor steady. AJ did.

Most Improved Player

FIREBALLER — Tennessee Fireballers

Week 1: 68 average.
By playoffs: 92 average.

If your abacus is out of reach that’s a 35% jump. That kind of climb doesn’t happen because the rims get friendlier. It happens because somebody decided to get better. You could see the release get smoother. The rhythm more natural. The confidence rise.  That's hard work paying off.

Mr. Pop Heart & Hustle Award

PONCHOVILLA — Dudes A Poppin’

For the rookies: this award goes to the player who brought the most energy. Took the league seriously enough to always have a good time. Left it better than they found it. The Dudes didn’t make the playoffs. But if their weekly videos are any indication, you’d never know it. Positive (most of the time) team chemistry, infectious energy, and a vibe that screamed "man, those guys seem like a good time." That kind of heart starts with the captain. And that’s the kind of competitor I’m proud to call part of this league.

Title

Congratulations to all the winners.

We’ll finalize MVP and All-League next week.

To our finalists: find your rhythm. Trust your work. And don’t let the moment get bigger than the rim.

And as always,

Mind your manners and settle your tabs.
