Rules

Teams must have 4 consistent players on their roster throughout the season.

Game Mode: Start with :40 of play—shots are worth 2 points, except the final :10 when worth 3. Scoring 40+ earns :15 Bonus Time, with 2-point shots in the first :05 and 3-point shots in the final :10.

Each player can play up to 8 games per week on their Elite machine using six balls.

Top 4 scores per player count toward the team’s weekly total.

Players must toggle “League Play” on their profile at app.popashot.net before playing to ensure scores are tracked.

One video of a full league game, per player, must be emailed weekly for score verification.

The Commissioner’s Letter
— Week 6

From the Desk of Mr. Pop

Pop-A-Shot Nation.

Week 6. The final week of the regular season. You could see it on the game film. The smiles got shorter. The celebrations got quieter. Casual play packed its bags and headed south for the winter. It's postseason time.

Title

DIVISION 2

Let’s start where the climb was steepest. The Sodballers did exactly what desperate teams do — they ripped off three straight wins and grabbed the fourth and final playoff spot. Three weeks ago, they were outside looking in. Now they’re dancing.

Their reward? Deep Swish Pizza. The #1 seed. The steady hand. The team that’s looked untouchable all season. But I’ve been around this game a long time. “Unbeatable” is a word that expires the second that first shot goes up.

The other semi has some real bite. The #2 Tennessee Fireballers vs. the upstart #3 Rim Reapers. Back in Week 1, Tennessee won by 70. Seventy. But if you’re using Week 1 to handicap this matchup, you’re watching reruns. These are not the same teams.

This one feels like it’s coming down to the fourth shooters: N8THEGR8 for the Reapers and Fireballer for Tennessee. When the first three have done their damage and the totals are tight, who holds the line? That’s your ballgame.

Title

DIVISION 1

Over in Division 1, the Motor City Sharpshooters detonated the record book — 2,441 points. Woof. They dropped that number in a duel with the Skyline Swishers that felt like a championship preview. Heavy swings. No blinking. Pure firepower.

But not so fast. Motor City now draws a resurgent Rec Center Royalty in the semis, let's see what BIGE and Jantwan have cooking. Skyline gets Pop It Like It’s Hot, whose superstar PKOW has reportedly been slowed by arm issues. I don’t know what’s true. I just know this: when there’s a championship on the line, soreness becomes “manageable.” Somebody warm up the training staff.

Consolation Bracket

And to those in the consolation bracket — your story does not end here. This season gave us the relentless positivity of Buzzer Beater Anonymous, the barely-contained mayhem of Dudes A Poppin’, the heart-on-their-sleeves hustle of the Hyphy Hoopers, the  “we’re here for a good time” Superbirds, the free-agent splash of SeanyB to Sip n Flip, and the bold corporate restructuring of the Pro Wrestling Tee Slammers. (I’ve seen coaches fired mid-season. First time I’ve seen the boss cut from his own roster.) It was more than this old coach could have asked for. I hope we get the chance to shoot a few together sometime soon.

Until then, tighten up those elbows, find your rhythm, and remember — nobody remembers how you started. They remember how you finish.

Sincerely,
Mr. Pop
