Only two weeks left in the regular season.
One week closer to the playoffs.
And at this point, here’s what we know.
Division 2 has officially moved me from sitting back in my chair to the middle of it — inching closer to the edge.
The Fireballers handed Sip n' Flip their first loss of the season and jumped up to #2 in the standings. That wasn’t an accident. That was the Fireballers putting up their highest point total of the season when it mattered. Now Sip 'n Flip gets another test in Week 5 against the Rim Reapers, who quietly improved to 2–2 and look like a team finding its stride at exactly the right time.
And don’t look now, but this old coach has his eye on the Sodballers.
Yes, they’re 1–3.
Yes, the record isn’t pretty.
But they’ve outscored half the division — and just dropped a season-high 1592 point this week. FrankBux and the boys out of Sylvania, Ohio still have a pulse. And sometimes, that’s all you need.
Over in Division 1, the Motor City Sharpshooters decided to rewrite the record book, posting a new league high with 2361 points. Team captain ISHAM guaranteed 2400+, which they came up just short of, but who keeps track of these things, really? Either way, that’s the kind of number that makes the rest of the division take notice.
The problem is, with Motor City, Skyline, and Pop It Like It’s Hot all winning, nobody has separated themselves for that fourth and final playoff spot. Which means the math stays messy… and the pressure stays high.
That brings us to next week’s Game of the Week:
Pro Wrestling Tees Slammers vs. Rec Center Royalty.
Win, and your playoff dreams stay alive.
Lose… and you may want to start thinking about next season.
The Slammers posted their highest team total since Week 1, thanks in large part to newcomer Newjewcrew, whose average jumped 21 points from last week. Momentum matters. Confidence matters. And they’ll need both against a Rec Center Royalty squad with plenty of firepower.
We’ll see if co-captain BIGEFOR3 can make good on his guarantee to average 160+ by season’s end. Guarantees have a funny way of sticking around until you prove them right.
Two weeks left.
Make them count.
