May 19th, Champions Sports Bar in Chicago
Presented by Miller

Being the first of its kind, a Pop-A-Shot World Championship was held at the Champions Sports Bar at the Chicago O'Hare Marriott.  With the Pop-A-Shot inventor, Ken Cochran, in attendance, 150 Pop-A-Shotters tried their shot at the cash prizes between $100 - $1000.  Brenda Heywood won the women's division and Tom Blackshere outlasted Robert Smeenk in the final.  "Being the Elvis of Pop-A-Shot is no big deal", said Tom Blackshere, a 26-year-old electrician who's knee injuries had kept him off the basketball court.
