Game of Skill: The Moneyball Fall Shootout Tournament (“Tournament”) is a game of skill. It is not a random drawing sweepstakes.
Use of Data: Sponsor will be collecting personal data about Entrants online, in accordance with their privacy policies. Please review Sponsor’s privacy policies at https://popashot.net/policies/privacy-policy. By participating in the Tournament, Entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Sponsor’s privacy policy. Email addresses and other information collected may be used for promotional marketing specifically and only as it relates to Pop-A-Shot.
PARTICIPATION IN THIS TOURNAMENT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK: YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT ANY GAME PLAY THAT IS BEYOND YOUR SKILL LEVEL. ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THE INHERENT HAZARDS, DANGERS AND RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH SPORTS PLAY, AND THAT THERE ARE NATURAL FACTORS AND OCCURRENCES WHICH MAY IMPACT ON OR AFFECT THE SAFETY OF SUCH ACTIVITIES AND ENTRANTS ASSUME THESE RISKS AND DANGERS.
1. Sponsor
Entry in this Tournament does not constitute entry into any other promotion, contest or tournament. By participating in the Tournament, each Entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Pop-A-Shot Enterprises LLC. (“Pop-A-Shot” or “Sponsor”), 918 SW Adams Street, Peoria, IL 61602, whose decisions shall be final and legally binding in all respects and not subject to review in any forum.
2. Eligibility
Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor and Tournament suppliers, and each of their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, sales representatives, their advertising and Tournament agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Tournament (collectively, the “Tournament Entities”), and each of their immediate family members and/or people living in the same household are not eligible to participate. All eligibility is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All entries submitted are the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged.
3. Tournament Timing & Registration
The Tournament will be conducted in two phases (each a “Phase”). There will be two (2) Divisions: the “Open” Division (men and women) and a “Women’s” Division* (each a “Division”). There is a Tournament entry fee (“Fee”) of $25 per person payable upon registering to participate in the Tournament.
*NOTE ON WOMEN'S DIVISION: A minimum of twelve (12) Players are required in the Women’s Division to activate this Division. If the Division is eliminated, all Entrant’s fees paid in this Division will be refunded to the Entrant.
Phase #1 (Seeding): Begins Monday, October 19, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 22, 2026 (“Qualifying Entry Period”). Sixty-Four (64) Open Division and Sixteen (16) Women’s Division valid Entrants with the highest validated recorded scores will advance to Phase #2. During Phase #2, Qualifiers in the Open Division will be required to submit six (6) new game plays. Qualifiers in the Women’s Division will be required to submit four (4) new game plays (each a “Game Play”). Sponsor’s designated server will be the timekeeper for this Tournament.
3a & 3b. How to Enter Phase #1 (Seeding) & Validation
- Entrants must first pay the $25 registration fee, and agree to the Official Rules on the registration page located at popashot.net.
- Visit app.popashot.net and register by completing all required fields creating a Player profile, submit, and receive a unique QR Code associated with your created Player profile.
- All games must be played on any Pop-A-Shot Elite machine (private or public machines). If public, Player may be required to pay the required posted venue fee to play/access the game. This is a venue fee and not a Tournament or Sponsor fee.
- Internet connection will be required while playing to record Player score and submit videos.
- Log into Your Pop-A-Shot Player profile. Turn on “Tournament Mode” within the Player profile. Select “Standard” game mode on the Pop-A-Shot Elite machine. Prior to Game Play, scan your unique QR Code on the Elite machine’s QR reader.
- Play the game personally and complete the game in accordance with the instructions displayed on the machine.
- IMPORTANT VIDEO REQUIREMENT: All submitted full games must be video recorded (“Video Record”). Video must clearly show the participating Player is starting the game with six (6) balls, the Pop-A-Shot machine/game screen, and final score. The Video Record must record the entire Game Play.
- If a Player fails to activate “Tournament Mode” or properly scan their QR Code before playing, the score will not be recorded and will not be eligible for Tournament consideration.
- LIMIT: Players may play as many Phase #1 (Seeding) games as they wish. However, only the Player’s highest submitted Game Play score will determine if a Player advances to Phase #2 and determines the seeding position in the Phase #2 bracket Game.
- For the scores You wish to submit for consideration to qualify, the Player must submit the corresponding game Video Record through the submission feature available in their Player’s Pop-A-Shot profile. You may upload the Video Record directly or provide an accessible link to the Video Record through an approved platform, i.e. YouTube or Google Drive. Late entries will not be accepted for any reason.
4. Phase #1 Qualifying Winners Advance
The Sixty-Four (64) Open Division and Sixteen (16) Women’s Division entries with the highest submitted verified Game Play scores during Phase #1 (Seeding), will be seeded in Phase #2 from highest to lowest scores. The Player with the highest Phase #1 score will be the #1 seed, playing the #64 seed (or #16 seed in Women's). The #2 seed plays the #63 seed, etc.
Forfeit & Malfunction Notice: During Tournament play, it is the responsibility of each Entrant to keep track of their posted progress and to submit their entry in a timely manner. Failure to submit entries during any Phase will cause the Entrant to forfeit their opportunity for submission and will be scored as a forfeit. Should the Pop-A-Shot machine, electricity, Wi-Fi, video recording device, etc., malfunction, that game in progress is still counted as a Game Play.
5. Phase #2 (Single Elimination Bracket Games)
Begins Friday, October 23, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. ET and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 25, 2026 (“Phase #2 Game Period”).
- Format: Each qualified Entrant in Phase #2 must submit exactly six (6) new Game Play scores in the Open Division or exactly four (4) in the Women’s Division. You may not play any more than the required number of Game Play Submissions. Submissions may be made anytime during the Phase #2 Game Period or all at once.
- Sponsor’s database automatically tracks Submissions in order of play day, date, and time. Submission scores will be utilized in sequential order: Game 1 score = Round 1 score in the bracket, Game 2 = Round 2 score, and so on until champions are declared.
- Shootout for 3rd Place: The Champion in each Division receives the Grand Prize ($500), and the opponent in the Championship game receives the Second Prize ($250). The two (2) semi-finalists who do not advance to the championship game will match-up in the third place game, where their final bracket play game will be used to determine the third place winner ($100).
- All games must be played on Elite machines, in "Tournament Mode", "Standard" mode, after scanning QR code, starting with 6 balls, with full continuous video recording.
5c. Entry Restrictions & Auditing
Once submitted, an Entrant cannot access or revise any Submission. Entries made on another’s behalf or via commercial sweepstakes entering services will be declared invalid. Tampering with the entry process will result in disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Tournament if fraud or technical failures impair tournament integrity.
6. Prizes & Approximate Retail Value (ARV)
Total prize purse of $1,700 awarded by check in the name of the Winner:
- Grand Prize (1 per Division): $500
- Second Prize (1 per Division): $250
- Third Prize (1 per Division): $100
Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and no substitutions will be made. Winners are responsible for all applicable local, state, and federal taxes and fees.
7. Results Reveal & Winner Announcements
Starting Monday, October 26, 2026, Sponsor will reveal one round of results. Division Winners will be announced on the Sponsor’s site on or about Monday, November 2, 2026. Potential Winners must confirm proper legal name and mailing address within three (3) calendar days of notification attempt or forfeit the Prize.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
Entrants grant Sponsor a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and broadcast any submission, game recording, screenshots, and attributes for promotional and advertising purposes across all media.
9 & 10. General Restrictions, Release & Publicity
Entrants agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Tournament Entities from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, or damage that may occur from participation or prize acceptance. Acceptance of participation constitutes permission to use Winner's name, likeness, and biographical information worldwide without further compensation.
11 & 12. Force Majeure & Limitation of Liability
Tournament Entities are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone, internet, transmission, or server malfunctions, nor for unauthorized human intervention. Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate the Tournament if acts of God, public enemy, epidemic, or technical failures impair operation.
13. Disputes & Governing Law
All disputes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the federal or state courts located in the State of Illinois. Claims shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred (excluding attorney's fees). All issues are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois.
