As Week 5 closes, it’s bittersweet knowing we’re heading into the last week of the regular season. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not the emotional type. I once got through an entire senior-night ceremony without blinking, we had work to do. But it’s been great seeing some of these performances and getting to know you all. Cheers.
Out West, the San Diego Garage Crew keeps on rolling.
The boys from the coast have been steady as a metronome — the question now is who’s going to step in the playoff ring with them first? Will it be Eastwood420’s Pro Wrestling Tees squad? Clearly they know when it's game time. Or can Britherb15 and the Sodballers pull off a Week 6 miracle and crash the playoff party? Either way, I’m here for it.
Sky's the Limit?
The Skyline Swishers continue their climb, led by Neupacc, who went off this week — a 91-point improvement over last week. Don’t worry, we checked the footage and no foul play here; just hot shooting and a little bit of bacne. The Swishers now look to snag the #3 seed, which likely means a first-round matchup with the Motor City Sharpshooters in the playoffs.
But wait there's more:
- In week 5, The Swishers posted a team-record 2,017 team points, 21 points better than the Sharpshooters.
- And guess what — it's Swishers vs. Sharpshooters in week 6.
And yes, by face off I mean they’ll be shooting hundreds of miles apart in different bars. But still, if there’s a way to exchange hard fouls over Wi-Fi, I’m sure these two will find it.
Before I hang up my whistle for the week, a quick salute to Isham from the Motor City Sharpshooters. The Wyandotte, MI product took his talents beyond league play and won the Indianapolis Qualifier last night, taking down 2024 champ Josh Caputo. Way to go kid, way to represent the league.
Week 6 is on deck, folks. Play hard, play fair, and remember: Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.
