You’ve been asking for it for a long time, and we finally made it happen! The Pop-A-Shot National Championship circuit officially landed in the Northeast for the first time. After a year of hearing from fans who wanted a local stop, we headed to Boston, more specifically Medford, MA, to see what the region had to offer and you definitely didn't disappoint!

We Finally Made It to the Northeast!

We set up shop at the awesome Great American Beer Hall, and it was the perfect place for a milestone event. We teamed up with our friends at VOLO Sports to bring the official competition circuit to town. From the very first game of the day, the energy in the room was as large as the beer hall itself!

Our First-Ever "Super Qualifier"

This wasn't just your average tour stop; it was our very first Super Qualifier, and it was huge in every way. We had 191 players sign up and over 300 overall attendees hanging out to watch, play, and cheer on the competition making it our biggest qualifier yet!

Things were a bit different this time around to keep up with the "Super" title:

  • ESPN was in the building: The whole thing was filmed by ESPN! We don’t have an exact date yet, but keep an eye out for us on ESPN News soon.
  • More Games: We were able to bring in 4 Pop-A-Shot Elite games, instead of the usual 2 for more gameplay.
  • Double the Winners: We gave away two automatic spots for the National Championship.
  • Vegas Baby: The best players from the day got invited to the Las Vegas Invitational in July, where 64 of the best shooters will play for some massive prizes!

To make sure everyone had a good time without standing in a long line, we used our digital queue system. You could check in on your phone and then go grab a bite, have a drink, and chat with friends until it was your turn. It made for a much better vibe since everyone could stay involved in the action as fans while they waited!

Bracket Play: The Top Twelve

Since we had so much talent in the building, we decided to take the Top 12 players for the bracket instead of the usual eight. We saw some familiar faces on the leaderboard, including:

Josh Caputo (JOSHCAPUTO): Our 2024 National Champ and 2025 Semi-Finalist.
Michael Pashkow (PKOW): The 2025 runner-up.
Brett Morse Karzen (BRETTKARZEN): The 2024 runner-up.
Old Pros: JANTAWN, CJORDAN09, CBRINK and DAVIDKIRK were all back for more.

The leaderboard going into the finals looked like this:

  1. JOSHCAPUTO - 163
  2. PKOW - 162
  3. CJORDAN09 - 159
  4. DavidKirk - 147
  5. Jantawn - 143
  6. BrettKarzen - 142
  7. JSchwab - 142
  8. CBrink - 134
  9. Chadwick - 132
  10. NBalser - 131
  11. Maleezy - 128
  12. GRIC - 128

The bracket was absolutely stacked, but the top seeds really showed up. In the end, our #1 seed JoshCaputo and #2 seed PKOW both cruised through their games without any major upsets. They met at the very end and finished the day as co-winners of the Boston Super Qualifier.

Both Josh and PKOW are officially moving on to the Pop-A-Shot National Championship later this year. Congrats to both!

Where to Next?

We’re not slowing down! Our next stop is the Big Apple. Come hang out with us at the New York City Qualifier at Pig Beach BBQ in Astoria, NY on April 23rd, 2026.

Think you can hang with Caputo and Pashkow? We’ll see you there!
